Taking place multiple periods per day, electives are activities that are chosen by campers individually. The electives are run by staff who excel in a particular area, and are divided into age/gender-appropriate groups as needed. Before each week, campers are given a list of electives offered during each activity period, and they rank their top three choices. The programming staff then assigns electives to each camper (usually one of their top two selections) for the upcoming week. Each elective usually lasts 4-5 days or periods.
